(3.) EIGHT WEEKS
| "In the fall of 1998, my darling Jeanne first wrote her novella, Eight Weeks In The Life of Michelle Devereaux. It was posted on-line at a gay and lesbian website for a long time, and I remember she got a LOT of e-mail about it. Perhaps I'm biased, but I think - aside from a few stylistic issues - that its one of the most romantic and erotic piece ever written about lesbians. I couldn't resist doing these drawings | |
|
(done over a period of about four years - note that some of them are in different styles). I finally them presented to Jeanne on our anniversary last year (14 and counting!)." |
|
| "I'm in the process of doing some rewrites of Eight Weeks. You'll be able to read it here as I post revised chapters. Kaye's drawings are even more erotic than the text - I'm not sure what we'll do with them at this point - either use them to illustrate the text, or do an Eroticomix issue. They may even wind up being part of a storyboard for a film. In the meantime, enjoy some of Kaye's beautiful artwork | |
| by clicking on the thumbnails below! By the way, some people find the drawings of hearts over the characters' heads a bit cheesy. I wondered about it, myself. Kaye says its an attempt to depict the characters' arousal or attraction level - something she picked up playing Sims, I suppose. I think I like it, but I'm not sure. Feedback is welcome." | |
